Walker Bryan Dixon, M.D.
Dr. Dixon moved to Portland Oregon in 2001 where he has provided adult mental health and chemical dependency treatment services continuously to the present. He maintained active credentials as a hospital staff psychiatrist at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center from 2001 through 2013. From 2013 to 2019, he was on active medical staff as an inpatient psychiatrist at Cedar Hills Hospital in Portland before transitioning to his present work in full time outpatient private practice through Summit Wellness Center.
Dr. Dixon is a graduate of the inaugural class of the Oregon Psychoanalytic Center 2-yr. Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Program. He has maintained an outpatient office psychotherapy and chemical dependency practice in Portland, Oregon since 2006 which has since been incorporated into Summit Wellness Center.
Dr. Dixon is the founder and medical director of Summit Wellness Center, Inc.
Dr. Dixon earned his medical degree from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in Lubbock and El Paso, Texas.
He completed his 4 year Psychiatry Residency at University of North Carolina Hospitals, Chapel Hill.
On off clinic days you will likely find him ski-hiking in the Cascades.
